Soaring High for Country & Community: Central Malta Eagles Shine at PIDC 2025

June 7–8, 2025 – Malta
The spirit of patriotism, unity, and Filipino pride was in full display as the Central Malta Eagles Club (CMEC) and the Central Malta Lady Eagles Group (CMLEG) actively took part in the Philippine Independence Day Celebration (PIDC) 2025, held on June 7 and 8, 2025 in Malta.
From serving behind the scenes to taking center stage, the Eagles once again proved that “Service Through Strong Brotherhood” is more than just a motto — it’s a way of life.
Eagles in Action: Volunteers, First Responders, and Proud Filipinos
As dedicated volunteers and support team members, Ang mga Kuya and Ate from CMEC and CMLEG played vital roles in ensuring the success of the two-day celebration. The groups were also officially in charge of the First Aid & Emergency Response Team, providing care and safety for attendees with the expert assistance of their very own nurse Kuya and Ate members.
Their readiness and presence gave peace of mind to participants, showcasing not just their professionalism, but their unwavering commitment to community care.
Marching with Pride: Parade and Palarong Pinoy Winners
The Eagles made a bold statement of discipline and unity during the Opening Parade, proudly donning their Type A uniforms as prescribed by The Fraternal Order of Eagles – (Philippine Eagles) TFOE (PE). Their presence was both striking and symbolic — representing strength, honor, and Filipino pride in foreign soil.
The fun didn’t stop at the parade. In the highly anticipated Palarong Pinoy, CMEC and CMLEG brought home not one, but two honors:
Best in Uniform
1st Runner-Up Award
These achievements reflect the team’s camaraderie, sportsmanship, and enthusiastic participation in celebrating Filipino culture and traditions abroad.
Living the Eagle Way
“Every event we join is an opportunity to serve, represent, and uplift our fellow Filipinos here in Malta. PIDC 2025 was not just a celebration of independence — it was a celebration of community, identity, and purpose,” shared a CMEC member.
The active involvement of the Central Malta Eagles Club & Lady Eagles Group further solidifies their reputation as a pillar of strength, service, and unity among Filipino communities in Malta, Europe.
